Why “CHUCHO.925”?
Chucho.925 started in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico — a beautiful region rich in culture and artisanal craftsmanship.
When I first arrived in search of a jewelry maker, I found a place called CHUCHO – Churros de Chocolate (chocolate churros), which made me laugh a lot. After a long search and successfully finding our jewelry maker, my dad asked me, “Do you have a name?”
Without overthinking it, I said, “Yes — Chucho.” He loved it and suggested adding “925” to reference the jewelry, which I immediately found genius, hilarious, and catchy.
It’s fun, it refers directly to sterling silver, and it creates a strong connection to Mexico.
In Mexico, Chucho is a common nickname for people named Jesús. If your name is Jesús, people will often call you “Chucho.”We also sometimes call dogs “Chuchos” as a nickname. I’m still not entirely sure why.

Behind the Brand
Victoria Sofia is a Mexican designer currently based in Paris.
Her work is driven by a deep appreciation for quality, multi-functionality, and pieces that feel both intentional and quietly striking.
Raised in Mexico and shaped by time spent in Milan, London, and Paris, her perspective is layered. She studied Fashion Design in Milan, where she developed a sensitivity to structure and elegance. In London, she experienced a city of constant movement and limitless expression. Paris, where she now resides, continues to challenge and refine her — an endless source of contrast, curiosity, and inspiration.
Although the brand is produced in Mexico, it is not defined by one place.
It is a convergence of cultures, experiences, and encounters — a reflection of the diverse environments and people that have shaped her vision. -
